Iflow Pal for Windows Phone - Getting Started

Download the App

  • Open this link on your Windows Phone.
  • Click Install to start the download and install procedure.
  • Optionally, once installed pin your Iflow Pal app to your start screen for new message notifications.

Welcome Screen

You see this the first time you run the app. Click sign-up to create a new Iflow Pal user.

Signing Up

  • Enter a username between 5 and 15 characters long. No spaces but you can use dashes.
  • Choose a password between 6 and 15 characters lone. Again don't use spaces.
  • If you already have a circle password then click Yes, join a circle.

Joining a Circle

  • Slide across to the Circles screen and click the Join Circle button in the menu bar.
  • Enter the 4 digit prefix of the password in first box provided.
  • Enter the main password in the second box.
  • Click Join

Some circles require you to register your mobile number before letting you join. After following the steps to join a circle you are asked for your mobile number.

  • Enter your mobile number in the box provided.
  • Select the country of your mobile operator.
  • Click Register
  • You are immediately sent a 4-digit activation code by SMS.
  • Enter the activation code in the box provided and click Activate
  • Once the code is accepted you have successfully joined the circle.

All circles that you join are listed in the Cirlce's screen. Likewise the Contacts screen lists all contacts that you're connected with through mutual circles.

Sending a message to a circle

  • Slide across to the Circles screen.
  • Tap the circle you want to send a message to.
  • This opens the conversation for that circle. Type your message.
  • Click Send.

All members of the circle will receive the message.

Sending a message to an individual

  • Slide across to the Contacts screen.
  • Tick one or more contacts to receive your message.
  • Type your message.
  • Click Send.

Only the contacts you selected will receive the message outside of any circle.

Reading New Messages

  • Slide across to the Threads's screen. Here you see all new messages.
  • Tap the message you'd like to read. This opens the conversation for the user or circle.

Notification of New Messages

When the App is closed you are notified of new messages by a Toast Notification on your phone's screen. You can tap this notification to automatically launch Iflow Pal.

If your Iflow Pal App is pinned to the start screen its tile will indicate the number of unread messages.

  • Slide across to the Threads's screen. Here you see all new messages.
  • Tap the message you'd like to read. This opens the conversation for the user or circle.

Deleting Messages

  • Slide across to the Threads screen.
  • Tap the thread you want to delete.
  • Show the menu by tapping the application bar at the bottom.
  • Select Delete Thread

Deleting a thread removes all messages sent and received from a circle or individual contact. The thread will start again the first time a message is sent or received again.

Create Your Own Circle

  • Slide across to the Circle screen.
  • Show the app menu by tapping the app bar and select Create Circle
  • Enter a name for your circle.
  • The circle's 4 digit password prefix is created for you.
  • Tap the Create button.
  • Now tell other Iflow Pal users your password to let them join. The circle's password is the prefix and main password together.

Circle Info Screen

  • Slide across to the Circle screen.
  • Tap the circle you want to look at. This opens the message thread.
  • Tap the Edit button on the application bar.

The Circle Info screen shows details of the circle including the list of members and the join password.

Leave a circle

  • From the Circle Info screen click the Leave Circle.

Delete a circle

You can delete circles that you create.

  • From the Circle Info screen click the Delete Circle.

Mute a circle

You can mute all notifications of messages for a circle that you've joined.

  • From the Circle Info screen click the Mute Alerts check box.
